These ceramic pieces are burnished, then glazed inside by Ana and her husband Willi in Atzompa, Oaxaca in Mexico. Their techniques have been passed down through generations and their clay is sourced in their local village. Each face varies slightly due the handmade nature of the pieces, just like no two human faces are exactly the same.
