The Product:

We’ve upped our classic cotton napkins with locally-printed words that remind us of what’s really important when we gather around a table for a meal: to gather, and to pause, give thanks, enjoy, and savor. The best part? The word tags also work as a "pocket" to hold tableware, flowers, notes, place cards, or whatever else your imagination desires! Also, great for the holidays, you can get creative in using them for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and more!

The Story:

We began sewing in the early days of 2nd Story Goods, way back in 2011. Today, our in-house sewing group is made up of 2 men and 4 women. 100% of our fabric is bought and up-cycled from the surplus in the local market. If you ever find yourself at our homebase in Gonaives, joyful singing and laughter can often be heard in conjunction with the hum of the sewing machines. It is one of our very favorite sounds!
